Multiverse and Friends is an American-Canadian animated television series created by Fred Dungles and distributed by Warner Bros. The show is based on the video game Multiverse. Created to rival The Simpsons and Family Guy, it became more of its own thing. Like Teen Titans Go!, the show takes a more comedic approach to the Multiverse franchise and makes it an adult animated sitcom with various franchises, including the ones that are meant for children. While the first eight seasons and seasons 14-16 were well-received, seasons 9-12 being near-universally panned and seasons 13, 17 and 18 receiving mixed-to-positive reception, the show later took another big nosedive in quality since season 19 and it's currently universally panned and this decline is also regarded as one of the worst examples of seasonal rot and flanderization. Only time will tell if this show goes back to its former glory, if at all.
